Dear London is our ongoing correspondence project — a space where Londoners respond to a single question released each issue. It’s an invitation to slow down, look closely, and tell the truth about what it feels like to live in this city.
Each cycle, we share a prompt. You return with a letter, an essay, a fragment, a photograph, a poem, or something that doesn’t fit a form at all. We’re less interested in perfection and more in perspective: how you see London, how it shapes you, and the stories that surface when you sit with a question.
At the heart of each issue, we pair people from different backgrounds, ages and parts of the city and invite them to write to one another. These longer exchanges form the main features of the magazine and are guided by shared themes.

We run small, welcoming letter-writing sessions across London, open to all and designed for people with any level of writing experience. These sessions create space to write, listen and share at a gentle pace.
We also work with schools and youth groups to host workshops for children and young people, using letter-writing as a way to explore voice, empathy and connection.
Sessions take place in libraries, community spaces, schools and neighbourhood venues. Organisations interested in hosting a workshop are welcome to get in touch.
